Bakerboys distribution was founded by Jim Greco, Andrew Reynolds and myself. In 2007 we rented a small studio in Hollywood to make a home for our new sunglass company Brigada. Once we figured out that we were going to start Deathwish skateboards we upgraded to a larger warehouse in the barrios of North hollywood. Every member of our crew here we've known for years and our goal is to continue to provide our friends with jobs. As of late 2008 we added Shake Junt to the line-up created by our close friend Shane Heyl.

Things have been amazing so far and we continue to learn shit and build our distribution everyday, the BakerBoys are here for the long run!

History

In 2000 Andrew Reynolds left Birdhouse Skateboards and started Baker Skateboards with Jay Strickland, along with Blitz Distribution as an investment partner to distribute their own products^[1]). In February 2002, with pressure from Strickland to make good on Reynolds' promise of 50% ownership, Reynolds purchased the shares of Baker owned by Blitz to become the sole owner. Baker still remains a member of the Blitz Distribution family. Reynolds' promise to Strickland went unfulfilled, and Strickland left Baker to concentrate on his own company, Bootleg Skateboards (with the name taken from Strickland's first video, Baker-Bootleg released 2 years before Baker skateboards started) under NHS Inc., which has since folded.

Today, Baker is still under Blitz Distribution but in 2007, Reynolds (along with fellow pro skateboarder Jim Greco) started up the Baker Boys Distribution which houses three companies owned by past and current Baker riders/associates. These companies are Shake Junt (created by Shane Heyl), Ashbury Sunglasses (created by Andrew Reynolds) and Deathwish Skateboards (created and owned by Erik Ellington and Jim Greco).^[2].

Usually skateboards that are pre-assembled cost less than those that are built up by selecting different parts; however, most of Baker skateboards are complete and ready to ride.
